The Department of Commerce of our college plays a vital role in providing quality education in commerce, accounting, finance,
taxation, business management, and entrepreneurship. The department is dedicated to shaping students into skilled professionals
with strong ethical values, leadership qualities, and practical knowledge required for the modern business world.
The Undergraduate (UG) Programme in Commerce was introduced in our college in 2012, followed by the introduction of the Postgraduate (PG) Programme in 2016. Since its inception, the department has been striving for academic excellence through the efforts of experienced faculty members, student-centered teaching methodologies, seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and career development initiatives.

GOAL:
The goal of the Commerce Course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding
of commerce, accounting, finance, taxation, economics, and business management while fostering critical thinking, analytical
abilities, communication skills, and professional competence. The course aims to equip students with practical knowledge,
entrepreneurial mindset, ethical values, and leadership qualities necessary to succeed in a dynamic business environment.
It also seeks to enhance employability, encourage innovation and lifelong learning, prepare students for professional careers,
including Chartered Accountancy, and enable them to contribute responsibly to economic growth and societal development.
